Repairs
Worn claws, broken chains and clasps, loose stones. Bring the piece in and we will look at it with you, tell you what it needs before any work starts, and do the repair ourselves.
Find your piece
An inherited ring that is not your style. A setting that has worn through. Stones in a drawer. We design a new piece around what you already own, and look after the pieces you love as they are.
Three ways to go

Repairs and care
Worn claws, broken chains and clasps, loose stones. Bring the piece in and we will look at it with you, tell you what it needs before any work starts, and do the repair ourselves.
We make your ring larger or smaller so it fits again. Some designs are harder to resize than others; we will look at yours and tell you what is possible.
We clean your piece and check every setting ourselves, so a loose stone is caught before it is lost.
What can be reused

Diamonds and most coloured stones can be unset, checked, and set again in a new design. A stone that has been worn for fifty years is often in better condition than its setting. We examine every stone before quoting and tell you what it is.
Old gold is melted and re-alloyed into the new piece, or its value is credited against the work. Several old pieces can go into one new one. Chains, broken earrings and single earrings are all usable.
Claws and shanks are usually the part that has worn out, so they are rarely reused. If the design itself is what you love, we restore it instead: new claws, a new shank, the stones kept in place.
How it works
What you have, what you would love it to become, and a budget if you have one.
We examine the stones you bring and tell you what they are; add one from the studio if you like.
Sketched with you at the table. Nothing is made until you say yes.
Made to a date agreed with you.
Fitted, explained, and documented for your records.
Questions
Yes. Most rings can be resized, but how easy it is and what it costs depends on the piece. Bring it in and we will tell you.
Typically about two weeks, depending on how complex the repair is.
We examine every stone before we quote, so we can tell you what it is, whether there is any risk in resetting it, and whether it is worth the work. Most coloured stones can be reset without trouble; a few softer stones need more care, and we will say so.
Yes. Old gold can be melted and reused in the new piece, or its value credited against the work.
If a piece has worn through but the design is right, restoration is the answer rather than remodelling: rebuilding claws, shanks and settings so it can be worn again.
The stones are the piece; they carry the memory. Many people ask us to keep an element of the original, an engraving, the old band inside the new one, a single stone in its original setting, and we can usually do that.
