What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and the content of your message, when you use the enquiry form, email us or call us.
- Consultation bookings: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and any notes you add when you book a consultation.
- Customer records: your name and contact details, and details of the pieces we make, repair or remodel for you, such as the stones, metals and ring sizes.
- Security camera footage: the studio uses security cameras, which record people who visit.
We collect this information directly from you. We do not collect sensitive information such as health details, and we do not ask for identity documents.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to:
- reply to enquiries and arrange consultations
- design, make, repair and deliver pieces, and keep a record of them for future repairs, resizing and insurance
- keep the studio, our visitors and our stock secure
- send marketing emails, unless you have asked us not to, for example by unsubscribing (see below)
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for any other purpose unless you agree or the law requires or permits it.
Marketing emails
We may send marketing emails to customers and to people who have been in touch with us, unless they have asked us not to. Every marketing email identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe, and we act on unsubscribe requests promptly. You can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing [email protected].
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for the service they provide:
- Cal.com provides the booking calendar on the Visit page and stores the details you enter when you book. Its privacy policy: cal.com/privacy.
- Mailchimp sends our marketing emails and holds the names and email addresses on our mailing list. Mailchimp records whether an email is opened and which links are clicked. Its privacy policy: intuit.com/privacy.
- Microsoft 365 provides our email and calendar, so enquiries and bookings are held there.
- Web3Forms receives messages sent through the enquiry form and emails them to us. Its privacy policy: web3forms.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it, for example to police.
Overseas storage
Some of these providers store data outside Australia. Cal.com, Mailchimp, Web3Forms and Cloudflare may store it in the United States and other countries. Microsoft may store it in Australia or overseas.
This website
- This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other websites. The website does not use advertising cookies.
- The Visit page shows a Google map, and the Always Clock page shows a YouTube video. Google may set cookies or collect information such as your IP address when these load. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- The booking calendar is loaded from Cal.com, which may set cookies of its own.
How we store and protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. Email [email protected] or call +61 (2) 6262 5053. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
