The Thirty-First Floor (A Special Viewpoint)
We arrived, four desingers, at the Intercontinental Hotel. We got to the function room on a beautiful spring day, the sun shining and the room filled with its light. The room was made of two levels, with huge windows overlooking the Sydney Opera House, and the city of Sydney sprawled out like a beautiful carpet. On Thursday morning we began preparing for the show, and to our amazement, Nurit and I discovered that we had forgotten the shelves for our jewellery display cabinets in Canberra! These were glass shelves, for illuminated glass cabinets. We were under tremendous pressure, so I turned to Melissa Hocking, the Conference & Banquet Team Leader, who with much professionalism and keeping a cool head, arranged for a glazier to cut us four new shelves for our cabinets, and for this we offer her our sincerest thanks!
The show itself was intimate, and many of our loyal customers, who have been with us for years, came to see us and our new designs. We would like to thank our customers for coming to show their support and appreciation of our work, and hope that those of you who bought jewellery will enjoy it.
For anyone who loves Australia, anyone who loves Sydney, anyone who loves life, and anyone who loves beautiful things, I highly recommend visiting the Thirty-First Floor, which offers a truly special viewpoint. We would like to thank the Intecontinenal Hotel for hosting the show, and especially Kerrie Hartley and Melissa Hocking who were of great assistance during the show.
